How to talk about the level of your English and what to say when you don’t understand.

THING: What a bland word. However, English likes it a lot. Look at the collection of expressions that embraces „thing”, you will be surprised! I encourage you to learn and use them at work, too.

Workplace languages (English and any other) are abundant in such words – e.g. “kapcsolatos”, “vonatkozó” in Hungarian. They are used incorrectly by non-native speakers most of the time, however good their English is. Let me help you figure them out for good.

Make sure you just listen to something in English regularly. It can be anything that you are interested in or that is available for you, or that is on in the background. It is called passive listening.
